Iyer emerged as the top run-scorer of the month, amassing 243 runs and playing a crucial role in India’s victorious ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. This victory marks the second consecutive Player of the Month award for India, following Shubman Gill’s recognition in February.

In the semi-final against Australia, he added 45 runs off 62 deliveries. He wrapped up the tournament with a poised 48* off 62 balls in the final against New Zealand, securing the title for India.
